Last May, Christian Bajada Renshi and Roderick Bajada Renshi travelled to Meitingen, Landkreis Augsburg in Germany, after accepting VAK’s invitation to teach Jiushin Ryu Jujutsu during the 16th Bundeslehrgang.
The Bundeslehrgang (Budo Seminar), commemorated the 20th anniversary of the Verband Asiatischer Kampfkünste e.V. (VAK), and was attended by more than 300 martial artists from 12 different nationalities. It housed the styles of Jujutsu, Judo, Aikijujutsu, Karate, Aikido, Taekwondo, Iaido and Okinawan Kobudo. Accompanied by 6 of their students from Jiushin Kan Malta (Joseph Bajada, Anthony Caruana, George Caruana, Feras Abouhassn, Dillon Vella and Michael Buhagaiar), the brothers Bajada guided the participants of the Seminar through a series of combinations consisting of striking, clinching, throws and takedowns, holds and pinning, transitioning, locks, chokes, back takes, escapes and counters, showing the effectiveness and liveliness of Jiushin RyuJujutsu.
Jiushin Kan Malta would like to thank and congratulate Wolfgang Wimmer Kyoshi and the VAK e.V. Board for the successful outcomes of this memorable and outstanding event.
